Many new users have noticed that Mastodon is not a 1 to 1 clone of the Twitter experience.
Mastodon ≠ Twitter. It's something else entirely with different cultures and social norms. Mastodon is not a replacement for Twitter, and is not intended to be one. Do not join Mastodon expecting Twitter. Join for the community, and leave the Twitter behaviors behind at Twitter.
